Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester A Restaurant Brat, Allege Fellow Diners

Certain cast members of "Gossip Girl" behaved exactly like the obnoxious, ill-tempered rich kids they play on TV at Philippe Tuesday night, according to a fellow diner. Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick and a posse of their pampered pals barreled into the trendy East 60th Street eatery, cursing and talking so loudly that other customers complained, a source told The Post's Jennifer Fermino.

When one man at a table of lawyers and investment bankers politely asked Meester to watch her language, she allegedly shouted, "f - - - you! How dare you tell us to keep it down?"

erm,that's the kind of behaviour that should be reserved for the club not a restaurant. i'm sorry but i don't care what her side is,if she was behaving that way and making dining for other patrons nearly impossible to enjoy there's no justification for it. obviously mummy didn't teach her manners.

That's what I thought as well. Bankers and lawyers... even so, I find it funny that the article had to mention their professions!

I love Leighton so this is plus she always seemed genuine and gracious to public eye until this alleged story. I don't know if this is true or not but yeah itsonly gossip,90% of gossip is untrue or twisted.
Well all I can say its definitely interesting if it was true.

Does it really matter who the men were, and what was their occupation? If she was anything like that story portrays, she's a b*tch and doesn't deserve any sympathy for her bad behaviour. Fame (or infamy) and fortune do not entitle people to act like that, nor a shady past and a dubious upbringing.

Many wealthy professionals are actually a-holes who think that they can address anyone in whatever tone they want.

I think a lawyer (or a banker for that matter) will always find the means to let everyone know what their profession is.. and I can totally see them threatening with a P6 note, too.. but maybe I'm going too far here.
