Canadian model Grace Mahary is the cover star of Glow Magazine’s April 2015 issue. The beauty looks stunning with pink lipstick, curled eyelashes and shimmering eyelids. In her interview, she talks about diversity in modeling, her Instagram followers and more.

On her childhood views of modeling:
“I was that girl who grew up not seeing anyone who looked like me in magazines and videos. I was like, ‘I don’t get it.’”

On the positive change she’s seen in modeling:
“I honestly see more diversity backstage at shows, and I really love it. Beauty is diversity.”

On having 70,000 Instagram followers that she can connect with:
“It’s amazing to hear [from] some of them. A lot of them are people who look like me or relate to me, and it’s so cool that they now have social media platforms to connect with.”

On working with Vogue:
“Working with Grace Coddington and Tim [Walker] was beautiful, and they let you play, which is the truest form of an artist.”

What's going on? I've missed Grace so much at shows these past few weeks, another weird and totally unfair season for her. Such a shame, because she has such a great walk and such tremendous presence. Not to mention, if I had my way she would've already landed a blue-chip campaign (looking at you, Riccardo!) and worked with Meisel. I know I know, walking for VS was a big deal, but I'm greedy. I really want her to slay the high fashion world too!
