it seems like the designers want you to raid your grandmothers closet, (and then alter some of it:p)

hairstyles, shoes, make-up, clothes etc are all giving this very chic old lady style.

notice all the hats, scarves and hair accessories

    Marc Jacobs (the hair)

Wow. It's like the designers have had a nervous breakdown and raided Goodwill for all the granny clothes that never sell except two days before Halloween.

i'm all for the come-back of the gloves as a dailywear item !
can be seen as sort of arrogant into that recession days ... but isn't it healthy to wear them when the chicken flu (or is that the pork flu ?) is flying into the air ?

I doubt lace gloves would work very well for that purpose. *winks*

I love the colours though.. very soft subtle hints of colour, nothing to bright or ovious or over the top.. very modest i like it =]

Love the Erin Fetherstone. Though I would argue that Anthropologie pioneered this look (and pioneered it well, might I add).

Some of the things I tend to always like can be referred to as being "Granny chic" and with the looks that have been popular recently, I'm actually really in the mood for it. I love some of the colors from the Marc Jacobs show.

i agree. gloves are so sweet. The Silver Wings (blog) has been doing it for a while, before the blog disappears. she made it look seriously good, tho.
