    F***!

I did not think I was going to like this so much! Reminds me of F/W 19.20 and S/S 20.

The logo pieces with Balenciaga and Gucci deserve a special place in Hades!

Also loved the runway presentation minus the music :yuk:!

I watched the whole thing too, and it isn't even half bad as I thought it would be! Actually a LOT of great looks, and the whole thing was fun and perfectly balanced between camp, fashion and Demna's brutal approach. The only things I hated are the logo stuff, but I always hate any logo stuff anyway.

I'd totally get the exposed shoulder camel sweater form the men's looks, but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to find it online.

I wish Alessandro would dig into the archives more and actually recreate historical pieces from the Guccio Gucci himself in accessories and take some fits from Tom and Frida to show how the house has developed throughout the century, this is a totally missed opportunity for me.

I hate myself for actually liking this. The balenciaga silhouettes with the gucci styling turned out really well.

Alessandro's work benefits from the styling that is cleaner than his usual vintage shop madness and here we have another example. I like it, almost as much as I liked his s/s 20 collection, and I'm surprised that the codes from Demna's Balenciaga work so well here. It might be because they picked the strongest looks from Gvasalia. The best looks are the suits, they're just great.

The thing that annoys me the most is the Vogue Runway's approach to showing this collection, they literally have four shows with the same set of looks and they are shown only as crappy gifs. They literally killed this show.

Out of the two, Michele came out better. His work feels less costume-y than usual, I don't know if fresh is the right word but there are many looks that feel a break from his usual magpie/grannie trunk approach. Some, like the feather-embellished white cape are quite stunning.
As for Gvasalia, his contribution was minimal, when not blatantly lazy: they are just archive pieces covered in Balenciaga-Gucci logos...totally unnecessary but we know that logo-pigs in mainland China will love this.

Wow I'm surprised, I didn't see any "Balengucciga" logo anywhere.

Seriously it take two designers to slap on the logos on the clothes. Why don't you just leave it to the merchandise team and call it a day.

Christian Lacroix x Dries Van Noten have the last laugh.

The final look is pretty good. There are always some desirable pieces in every collection but my god could the presentation of this be any more desperate and tacky? Leaves a bad taste in your mouth after watching the video.

Convinced these Alessandro and Demna peaked during their first seasons.

The only interesting pieces here are the reeditions from Tom Ford archives: the red velvet tux (from fall 96-97); and the rhinestones shoes from s/s 1998.
They could just have made the whole collection with carbon-copies from Tom´s work...and it would have been better than this.

As for the stupid Balenciaga collaboration, it´s exactly as I expected: by the easy way of logos.

PD. The gifs at Vogue.com are headache inducing!!!

The opening looks is fantastic. But that's because Tom designed it. The guy wearing it is fantastic, too.

I don't really care about the rest.
