.....same here, but I'm not too sure...

like the print ok...but not the bag...

I like the print too. I think the bag is ruined by its shape and its gold contraptions. I don't know... I'm really not a fan of all these tiny handbags that are swamped with intricacies. Too much decoration is unappealing to me.

That's one of the most hideous things I've seen in a while.

NEW FOR OLD AT GUCCI

FRIDA GIANNINI's first 'post-Tom Ford' solo collection as creative director of accessories at Gucci, is a huge hit – at least with retailers. Wholesale sales of accessories within the Cruise 2005 collection grew by more than 20 per cent from last year, according to a Gucci spokeswoman, who told Women's Wear Daily that the increase could be attributed largely to Giannini’s collection, Flora. The line of handbags, small leather goods, shoes, swimsuits and towels, set to hit shops worldwide in November, was inspired by an iconic silk scarf designed in 1966 for Grace Kelly by Rodolfo Gucci, son of founder Guccio Gucci. Italian artist Vittorio Accornero assisted Rodolfo, creating the Flora pattern in 37 colours, with a selection of flowers from each season. Giannini's Flora collection revisits the pattern and Gucci’s iconic bags: the hobo, the Jackie and the bamboo. Giannini said she felt "really lucky" to be able to remake Gucci classics. "It has an exceptional evocative strength but at the same time it is very modern," she said, adding this is not an exact replica of the past, but a contemporary interpretation. The spokeswoman added: "[Buyers] have loved the idea of having a pattern that belongs to the Gucci tradition, reinterpreted in a fresh and young way."

The print is too bright. If it was more mellow tone maybe I would consider liking it.

Its interesting....think this is the type of bag that has to grown on u bcz its kinda loud. But its fun and summery....

preferred the orange one,not the white one

...i think I LOVE it! :o

but not the white leather, the bone colored leather is beautiful. I must get one in the larger size & the matching pumps...perfect with a plain shift dress. (i hope alot of people dont like it, so then i will be able to get it :ninja: )

My mother had the Flora scarves, in '60 these were the tops for ladies...Now she gave me her collection, and the patterns on the Giannini's bags are the same..but I really don't like the bags too much..I miss Tom's genius!!

well it's better than the over logod over blind super ugly bags of tom ford

didn't they make bags in this pattern (or some other canvas floral) in the 60s as well?? believe i've seen vintage one son eBay . . . anyway, i generally love gucci and am just not into these. the structured designs and hardware compete with the pattern . . . and what could these possibly work with, except all-white (and possibly other monochromatic bright) ensembles?
