Gucci Horsebit Hobo

I just signed up for the waitlist on gucci.com for a black monogram large horsebit hobo.

I really want a classic black shoulder bag. Do you think I should have gotten leather instead?

I bought it in the lg. black leather last month...very supple leather...beautiful and classic...nobody even knows that I am carring a Gucci...I get tons on compliments too...it looks better with time b/c the leather gets softer....It took about a month for my leather one to come in...Gucci...NYC...the SA's name is Weseem...very nice.

Hi,

I just bought this Hobo and I am contemplating on returning it because the leather bulge is bothering me. When I zip it all the way the leather bulges. Do you guys have the same problem with other hobos. Picture from e-bay. Like the picutre, mine bulges the same way. I'll take pics of mine sometime this weekend.

^^^Yeah, thats how its supposed to look with hobos. The leather isn't going to stay stiff after you put items inside the bag.

Im confused, how do you want it to look? The bulge is from the stuff you put inside the bag.

Hobo bags aren't going to stay flat unless the gusset has some structure to it.... Since this hobo has no structure, just a flat seam, it will bulge (as most hobos do)..

The bag in the picture is acting exactly as it should..

But maybe I'm misunderstanding..

What is the actual problem again??

Mine is the same way. I have the large blue guccissima leather horsebit hobo and I've had it for about 5-6 months... you'd think the leather would have softened up by now but it's still so stiff. It's a pain... literally. Hurts the shoulder because it hasn't loosened up any so the brim is pretty high up (rather than slouching down)

Well my mine problem is that it stays Really Stiff, and actually zipping up the bag is a pain because of the stiffness. So it doesn't soften up after several uses? I might have to return this.

Also, I was referring and responding to closettherapy about how she said that the leather doesn't soften up after several use. Hence I have the ? after "So it doesn't soften up after several uses?"

I ended up ordering the black leather large hobo instead of the monogram. I really want a super nice black leather bag that isn't covered in logo, even subtly, that will last for years and years.

I'm really glad I didn't get the GG canvas; I think I would have been disappointed.

I'll comment about the bag structure after I get mine this week and post some pics; monogram had a wait, but leather was in stock!!!

Thats how I usually can tell if its a fake or not, because tags are a certain shape and have certain font for the letters on front and a different font for the numbers on back. Usually counterfieters never get that part right. This one is hard to tell because the tag is all bent out of shape, so I would pass. And Im not too sure that Gucci released that style in that particular color. I know the guccissima hobo came in tan, but not in the horsebit style......I remember it came in chocolate, black, and blue....but cognac? Dont think so....

Now that I take a second look, the leather looks shiny and cheap. And the structure looks horrible. If you look at the one I just posted from Saks.com, it looks a million times better. Sweetie, its FAKE. lol
