It's a beautiful shot, albeit a touch boring, but sometimes people just want something that sells them the simple idea of glamour.

As for Mert & Marcus recycling their own imagery, it's nothing new, in every sense. Generally speaking, I remember when their approach seemed like a breath of fresh air in magazines, but now my heart sinks a little when I see their names in a thread, because what they produce is starting to seem so ubiquitous, repetitive - and due to the amount of visual manipulation - frequently lacking the depth that would sustain a second look over time.

It's interesting that you say that-because I feel the same way about Mert and Marcus' work also.

I actually don't think this looks like their work, though. It doesn't have the same rich, lushness that I associate with their work; it's very icy and cold, and not just because it's a black and white picture.

The commercial looks as though it is gonna be really good.
No question that Blake looks amazing here, and she looks so much better in colour.....if that makes any sense.

I saw a third picture today. It was just in line with the other two.. Tried to get a good shot but my phone wasn't very cooperative

I have to say, I wish they utilized her and the background a lot more. This is one time where Mert and Marcus' overly colorful images would do good. Seeing all three pictures together in real life, it looks so dark and hardly noticeable. And it doesn't do the perfume, which smells lovely, justice.
