Have a look at this dude's work - brazilian Gustavo Lins. One of those trained as an architect but went down the fashion route. Can't seem to find too much info on him on the net; but from what little stuff on his website looks like incredible detailing and cut: www.gustavolins.com

(not to be confused with the 'other' gustavo lins, who's a singer)

plus, with L.A.'s Maxfield, Paris' L'Eclaireur, Tokyo's Lift Etage carrying his stuff adds to pretty substantial credentials...

anyone know more about him?

hmm very interesting i like his constraction skils/art direction/photos

thanks for bringing this in surver and welcome to tFS :flower:

Photography in the second post is very nice.
Although it reminds me of a lot of other things, I still think it's beautiful, thanks for introducing us to him, surver :>

found some more images... but curious as to how the work is in reality. anyone had the chance of actually trying them on/buying them? seems like beautiful materiality... cutting seems a bit strange though...

amazing cuts and silhouettes... the materials seem very nice too, the leather looks very buttery and easy to wear... thx surver

I like what I've seen, some intriguing shapes, drapes and details there, especially the red and white pieces. The long black tuxedo jacket looks a bit off among the more experimental cut and construction. Unfortunately, the pictures are not doing the clothes justice, he needs to put them in some sort of context to see what they are like when worn. I would love to see more from this designer.

thanks surver for all the images

the designer used to work for Kenzo, Galliano, etc. then he has dealt mainly in haute couture kind of stuff. the ready-to-wear line which started recently by request of some retailers is also basically all reversible, *if I remember rightly*.
it's price range is almost the same as CCP, I think. but sizing for mens is definitely sort of much more generous than CCP, C diem.

hmm, it looks very nice...have you come into contact with the clothing itself runner?

I came across his tuff a few months ago, I think it's really very nice.

Got curious after seeing some shots of fabrics he uses..
Some drapery held by embroidery scribblings
using machine needle.. & also, maybe patchwork
-kudos to dear Scott for introducing me ^^

These are from his website
under "kimono" theme
