Halpern F/W 2018.19 London

This brand bought all the tacky fabrics at 80% off discount from their nearest local fabric shop..and called it a collection!

I truly think his mix-and-match of prints and fabrics in these glamazon silhouettes is so extra and gaudy and tacky that it comes full circle and actually ends up being very appealing to my eyes. He'd do wonders at a brand like Pucci.

He's been around for a couple of seasons but I can already tell he's gonna have the same fate of all these London designers who are red hot for a few years then disappear. All because they design themselves into a corner and only have one thing to say. Like with him: ok so it's sparkly, it's glam, it's 70s disco... but what else? You can't build a business out of so little.

I love the last dress! I could totally rock it!
The collection is not bad. It’s quite enjoyable. The mix of the 70’s with the 80’s is very fun but as Marc10 pointed out, the range of progression is very limited.
The list of London designers who struggled to move on from their early collections aesthetic is as long as the revolving doors in the industry.

But he would be great for Pucci indeed!
