Does this mean Kostas Murkudis is working with someone else?

I saw his stuff in Japan and thought it was interesting, but not a stand-out.

It looks alright so far.

Gee, I'm not kidding..I was posting these waiting for a comment from you, raijin, saying it was boring. Didn't expect it so soon.

Kostas Murkudis is working with Kathleen Waibel of Haltbar on this collection.

thanks for the thread.
i like their work and murkudis is located in munich, so we have at least one interesting desingner here ^_^

Not saying its boring, just its alright.

I think the details on those pants are interesting.
The cut is nice as well.

Not sure about that "love me tender" print though.

The further pictures are better.

I like the quirkiness in his solo work.

There's one thing I don't get about unisex collections.. how do clothes fit both sexes? It sounds like a good way of marketing though

Arturo21, I think you are taking it too personally.. I don't think raijin said it was boring... just not a stand out:huh:

I think it has nice potentials.. but I am not liking the unisex idea:( it is not pushed further enough like Hedi did this season.. so I agree that it is not a standout... it is still maturing, let's put it that way:innocent:

I love the minimalism. This style is very modern and clean. I just love this.

Here's the description of Haltbar Murkudis from Contemporary Fashion:

© Judith Buss HALTBAR MURKUDIS is the product of the collaboration between designer Kathleen Waibel (HALTBAR) and the fashion designer Kostas Muskudis. Two collections have been presented since the beginning of 2003, influenced by the clothing of German craftsmen's guilds. The collections were produced in cooperation with the only remaining German firm which produces garments for these guilds, as well as other firms based exclusively in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Btw, I just found out that the pictures that I posted of the clothing hanging from the ceiling are from A/W 2003.

thanks for all the pictures arturo, i like the presentation- the store presentation and how the models make the clothing look nonchalant and playful.

the clothes themselves are nice and simple, which i like. the detailing on the pants i like, aside from the love me tender parts and i'm a unsure about the offset zipper.

i'm unfamiliar with his solo work, anyone have links or pictures of that?

About Kostas:
Kostas Murkudis was born in Dresden and studied fashion design at the Lette-Verein School in Berlin. He began his design career in 1985 as Helmut Lang`s design assistant in Berlin. Kostas Murkudis presented his first men's collection for the Japanese market in 1995; the following year saw his show premiere in women's wear in Paris.

The fashion-design of Kostas Murkudis are characterised by an individualistic mix of materials, cuts, forms and classic tailor's craftsmanship. His creations are eminently wearable, despite his experimental approach to traditional materials and the incorporation of unorthodox details. His puristic basic is y and his minimalism has an innovative flair.

He was head of design at NewYorkIndustry's Easy Luxury label for two years, which is produced and marketed by Staff International, a subsidiary of Diesel.

In 2003, Kostas Murkudis again started designing under his own label «Kostas Murkudis» and also founded the brand «HALTBAR murkudis» with designer Kathleen Waibel.
