Let's cross fingers Hana will dominate the stages again! I often wonder if (like Daria last fall, perhaps) they're tied up with other work and say the Hell with it this season; although I wouldn't think the agents (getting a piece of the action!) would stand for it... Interesting...It's not like Hana wouldn't be wanted for all the big shows...Any thoughts?
Most models if they could, would prefer to do campaigns and editorials. There's more money and significantly less effort than it is for running from one runway show to the next. Fashion week is a lot of hard work. I don't think this is a right move to make for Hana or any of these other new wave of models like Natasha, Julia etc because they are far from being established to the extent someone like Karolina Kurkova is.
Or maybe they don't care. Perhaps when some of them said they look upon modelling as a stop gap meaure and will quit while they're ahead to go to uni soon, meant it!
It's also difficult for a new supermodel to emerge now or models in general to get huge - even Gemma Ward isn't, comparatively speaking, as huge as she could be because those damn actresses are hogging the fashion mags and campaigns. There's not enough chances anymore. The last supermod was Gisele but she rose at a time when Vogue was still featuring model covers. She maanged to just get in before the actresses took over.
However, I think generally the girls appeared in most shows this season. So no need to worry that some of them are fading away just yet

Unfortunately, I don't think Hana's lack of shows is due to her emerging supermodeldom. In the last month, she fell from #4 to #5 on the models.com ed list; I think her stock is falling, not rising. The fact that she is doing a show or two per day, but not doing all the shows means that she's not tied up elsewhere, otherwise she'd skip a whole part of a week, like Gemma in NY, or skip an entire season like Daria. It sucks; I much prefer Hana to the new girls dominating the catwalks.

We've already said it: Hana, dye your hair and cut them and you'll be Numero Uno again! 
I didn't know this...Rats..I agree w Callidora - I don't think Hana is emerging as a big model so can now afford to take a break. I heard a while back that she faced the proverbial pressures of losing weight, and upon losing it, went too much on the thin side which didn't appeal to a lot of designers. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I think Hana is old fashioned traditionally BEAUTIFUL, but in modelling it's about having a quirky look if you want get ahead of the game. Look at Gemma and Daria and Gisele - it's not coincidence they are very successful and have quirky imperfect features. Karolina, Adriana and Alessandra are examples of successful commercial models because they have an accessible look, more than likely a good PR team,plus they also rose at a time when the concept of supermodels mattered albeit on the coat-tails of the Brazilian and Eastern Ruropean model trend.
I'm with Royal G - Hana needs to do something radical image wise if she wants to get a bit higher in the industry. It's also about getting the right photographers, the right campaign, being associated with the right people....

All so true...and some of it's just the luck of the draw...Lots of staggeringly beautiful girls are not around a year or two down the road; there are only so many Anna Wintours and Cover Girl campaigns and Mario Testinos to hook you up...

Exactly - it's even harder when Vogue and top photographers seem to want to plough all their efforts and resources into furthering these lime light hogging model wanabe actresses.
I mean I like Drew Barrymore - but I don't want to see her fronting Missoni.

I say we make a website telling Hana how much we adore her, and how we hope she sticks around forever, and a couple of suggestions...
Look at how incredibly fabulous and fierce did she look when she first started out? We don't ever want to see her fade... She is a true star!
