Interview with Hana from French Vogue:
n its small green dress baby doll Anna Sui, Hana has a skin of angel, a smile full with modesty, a career right in front of her and the on the horizon. Exclusives for Yves SAINT LAURENT in March 2003, Gucci countryside for 2004 photographed by Mario Testino, it poses for the podiums and pages of Vogue, in all languages (France, the USA, Italy, Japan...). Absolutely all in length, condemned to the dish when it goes downtown ("I measure 2 meters in heels! Everyone looks at me, and that makes me uncomfortable..."), Hana appears aloof of the scene under the flashes of the runway. An ease worked with great blows on punching bag (which she had installed in her Brooklyn home) and keeps balance on its roller blades (and she leaves very regularly for longmorning walks in Central Park). Born in Czech Republic, like Karolina Kurkova, raised in Karlovy Vary, a small thermal spot two hours from Prague, her father sees her growing and the registers hervery quickly in the team of local tennis. Cut our for this sport, Hana excels, but also expresses a delicacy. At 15 years old, she signs a contract with an agency in Prague which recruited via polaroids taken by sister. She finishes high school and moves to Paris with the Viva Agency. Today she lives in New York, she keeps the morals of her childhood: she can be found playing the tennis and taking courses of pottery in the Chelsea neighborhood. "I go there three times per week. That requires a great concentration of me and provides a huge release of stress. And then I create something." And all offers that it does. "I pain as well and enjoy art." "I, at least, am not afraid to use the brush freely." She is planning on buying a huge home in Czech for her family and self. She likes Miu Miu, Marc by Marc Jacobs or vintage; her last purchase: a mauve dress very long, encrusted with stones and very machine-made in the back. She keeps all her polaroids on the backstage board, dressed in the collections. Hana arranges them in a carton along with other candid modeling pictures. A box with good memories which she already dreams of sharing with all her children and grandchildren.
