MEET the model dubbed a real-life mermaid.

With her flowing locks, surfing lifestyle and swimwear range, it’s no wonder Hanalei Reponty has become a sought-after face for brands and magazines.

From Vogue in Paris and Australia and British Cosmopolitan to surfing giant RipCurl, cosmetic brands OPI and Lancaster, and trendy brands Converse and The Kooples, she’s shot for big names.

And while she has 130 thousand Instagram followers, the 25-year-old, who lives in San Clemente in California aware her ultra-slim look could influence other women.

“As a slim model, my ambitions are not to project that everyone should be the same way,” she said. “My message relates around nature, activities, finding what makes you happy, and then believing that you can reach your dreams.

“I am a very slim person, and have always been.”

Reponty was born in Tahiti but moved to Queenscliff on the northern beaches aged 18 with her French parents and brother Rome, so she could go to Sydney University.

She got into modelling as a teenager, when her surfing talent- she started when she was three- saw her become the face of Rip Curl.

And while she now works around the world with agency IMG, which has star names including Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen on its books, she still comes home every year to see her family — especially French-born mum Raphaele, 49, who lives in North Manly.

She runs Manly hair salon Franck Provost on Sydney Rd, and the pair also have a swimwear brand, Abysse, which promotes protecting the ocean.

Reponty also brings fiance, pro surfer Pat Gudauskas, with her.

The pair, who met eight years ago, are planning to marry in Tahiti.

“Patrick and I absolutely love spending time in Manly with the family, so my dream would be to spend six months in San Clemente and six months on the northern beaches.

“I love Avalon and could totally see myself living there.”

Mum Raphaele, said: “I’m proud of the woman she is. Like any mum I like to talk about my daughter, but I’m not always pushing her.”

The pair have even modelled together for caftan brand Camilla after boss Camilla Franks spotted her mum at the casting.
