why are magazines so reactionary these days? this is the kinda stuff that's been circulating on sites like tumblr, flickr and Pinterest for ages by often casual observers of fashion/photography.

these retrospective, retro-centric, archival images being regurgitated and passed off as covers or even as content images is getting super redundant not to mention extremely lazy...we aren't exposed to new insights or revelations or presenting them in a modern, relevant context. it's like doing a Beatle's cover song with the same vocal delivery, melody, instrument just another artist.

can we please get some depth and 'oh i never knew that' moments back in fashion magazines? given the instant gratification state of media these days maybe not...
