Harper’s Bazaar France November 2025 : Cindy Crawford by Dudi Hasson

Interesting point of view...

I guess all of the current team are form the same "club" so it would be difficult to break that....i think they know they are good so they don't push creatively anymore...but they should bring even someone unknown with a fresh (not necessarily young) fashion point of view could help with a needed change....

They are on autopilot, and they should be smarter than that cause at some point the formula will stop working...

There is a big room for improvement there
Yes it will be…
At the same time, what is Bazaar France?
Bollore wanted a glossy in his media empire, bought the license and installed the people who are the most visible in the French fashion landscape and who all left when VP became VF.
So yes, that particular cast was « needed » for credibility and so they aren’t pushing each other.
It’s deceptively generic as a magazine. And the same mistake was done with Vanity Fair france.

Les annonceurs are happy but nobody is really checking on Bazaar France.
The same with Bazaar Homme. A magazine like L’Etiquette kinda introduced an interesting format for men.
What’s the point to reintroduce Vogue Hommes International under a new name?

I guess all of them are thinking only about money but
for example on Holiday that is mostly the same team form time to time you see a challenge or something new, they could install that on HB...
I guess they want to install a certain style that don't go with Vogue's current events but still they can make the product better with the same money...and perhaps raise curiosity....

And i get is a commercial magazine and is safe but safe is not a bad word if you keep it funky...

Yes their formula works for Holiday. Indeed.
Maybe because it’s more lifestyle than magazine.
But you see, the same team more or less doing 2 magazines. Durand’s aesthetic is still going strong in all the SMCP brands. Emmanuelle doing M Le Monde and Saglio doing ELLE, M le Monde. We need a break.

Lara Stone’s editorial has some amazing photos ! the one inside the car is incredible.
even if the editorial is indeed a little disjointed, it’s still the strongest one.

seeing the huge posters of the cover on all the newsstands really intrigues me to buy it, the cover is growing on me and I'll probably end up buying this issue cuz i like all the editorials posted here!

Same sh*t every month. Boring and forgettable images that have been done million times already. Are there no interesting creatives left in Paris?

Not everything is the same...No Cindy, Ajus, or Lara last month.

They were talking about the kind of editorials and art direction overall. Nothing groundbreaking about Carlijn and Alt doing an early 80s Guy Bourdin inspired editorial with a black girl channeling Grace Jones in heavy blush and glossy lips.
