Ok cover but its interesting that they have already changed their layout. I wonder if this was intentional but if they are already trying to make a new-ish looking HB because of McCann's depature?

I'm pretty underwhelmed by this issue. It was the debut of the new editor too. She claims Liz T at HB US in the 90s is her inspiration for her editorship. I wish there was more sign of this in the end product.

It would still be Edwina McCann's work but credited to the new editor. Only because, by the time Kellie Hush was announced as the new editor it was too late for her to even plan out the August issue. So Hush's vision magazine would be conceptualised in full in the September issue.

Likewise, the August issue was Clements' last edited issue but will be credited to McCann (her first full issue being also September).

Exactly which is why I was surprised that they started to change the layout of this cover given that it would've been a totally McCann led issue. I have to say I'm finally excited about what the new teams will bring to each mag as HB has pretty much had the same aesthetic since its inception (well the late 1990s HB relaunch) under Upton-Baker

I don't normally read HB but I actually really love Miranda's ed here, it's quite original.
