Harper's Bazaar Australia June/July 2015 : Elle Macpherson

Slightly awkward pose but so gorgeous none the less. Australia does it again, they nailed it.

I love this! It's actually quite a nice, playful and non-literal approach to winter. Also it would be interesting to hear from Elle again after such a long time.

I love the Season play with this one. It's like "let's go to the beach for June and then wear something for fall (July)". Elle is beautiful but the one thing that bothers me here is the leg positioning. I would've gone with a standing shot with a gorgeous smile rather than this half jump shot. Also the text is all sorts of wrong.

I love this cover: from the styling, to her face, to the layout and coloring, everything works. Australian fashion magazines nail it every time when it comes to magazines´ covers; They just know how to properly do it, Vogue, Elle, Harper´s, GQ etc. Elle is a favorite of mine so I can´t wait to see the edit and hopefully a video from that covershoot :)

I like the crispness of the image, I hope that the newsstand cover is as good :)

I really love the first cover, but her feet looks weird

Their newsstand covers always have just the right amount of text. I cannot get over how simple and classic these covers look. Thanks for posting Vogue28.

^ They just really know what works and what does not, it´s insane. No other magazine does what they do with the layouts.

Funny how Vogue Australia and Bazaar Australia have similar covers... white styling on a beach, windswept hair, are they both wearing Dior?

It's obviously purely coincidential. Vogue doesnt always shoot outdoors, but when they do it's mostly at the beach. Bazaar almost always go outdoors. We've had Shanina with the little koala bear, Miranda in a park, the Minogue sisters on an outdoor terraced garden etc. Perhaps the layout is an aesthetic for both, 'let the image speak'? Personally I find this balance to set them apart from the rest: too little text and it looks more like the Spanish and Argentinian editions, too much will veer towards US Bazaar.
