Harper's Bazaar Brazil October 2014 : Ana Beatriz Barros by Fabio Bartelt

What plasticization did they do to her beautiful face?

Ana looks SENSATIONAL, can't wait for this! Thanks for sharing, Oxymore! :flower:

Eeck! Love everything except her face. This couldve been a stunning cover but they spoiled it with the horrible retouching. The previews doesn't look promising either.

It´s a beautiful image, love the summer feel. IF ONLY they didn´t photoshop her to look like a plastic doll!! :furious:

For those of you complaining on the "overphotoshopping" - a first hand info: except for basic retouching and massive color grading, everything else is done in camera. In other words, Max Weber did - as I already said - SENSATIONAL job contouring Ana's face, that's why it looks like a porcelain (in a best possible way).

Either way, I don´t find it appealing to make her look plastic and artificial

After seeing a HQ image of the cover, I wouldn't personally say the remarks come from Ana's face. For me it's the hair and the evident airbrushing on Ana's thighs. I even expected the photographer to be René Habermacher. This is more than just a filter layerd over the raw image. I do however really like the direction they were going with the styling and I love the composition but the cover image is unrealistic and sends out the wrong message.

BTW what are those holes in her right arm?
