It is anniversary of russian edition, why the h... they use these clasic american covers? Play with your sad original content, you created over the years, instead of poking your nose in other people work.
Well, who knew Russian Bazar had such pull... I don't generally appreciate artsy covers, but Murakami's interpretation is fun (ruined by an odd layout) and I'm always down for some Fabien Baron.
Murakami understands fashion magazine covers better than some fashion magazine editors-in-chief. He has even reined in his usual horror vacui to honor Moore's original. Quirky, playful, smart. This is something I'd frame.
Baron's interpretación is brilliant, but the timing could not be worse. It's hard for me to separate the fashion icon and the real woman. You see this cover, and you process it according to Linda's tragic circumstances. It can't be helped.
