Harry Curran

There is something about Harry Curran. Perhaps it's how calm his presence is. At 6 foot 2 with long brown hair that lands below his shoulders, you would expect a rockstar personality, but instead you get something a little bit more intriguing, a little bit magical and very down to earth. "I feel like you're the kind of guy who has a lot of secrets" Editor-in-Chief Cecilie Harris says as she removes her lens cap, ready to capture the inner beauty of the AMCK Models boy.

This brings you a little taste of the 12-page opening story for the sixth Boys by Girls issue “The Truth About Boys” featuring the coolest dude on the catwalk. Cecilie wanted to dig a little deeper into his story and passions to find more of his truths. That is in fact what this issue is all about. Something true and something real, letting the boys truly shine.

Harry's passion lies in art, which reflects the unique, inspiring and intriguing personality of Harry. Often inspired by fantastical worlds and dream-like lands, his art work makes us wonder just what goes on in the corners of his head. Perhaps a word one would use to describe Harry is humble; whenever a compliment is thrown his way, he remains hidden beneath his long hair and lets out a small chuckle as his cheeks blush a rosy red. Not aware of the power of his beauty, Harry is one of those guys that will chose to climb trees with his little brother and cousins over any extravagant event. He has our respect.

Set in a relaxing home environment, Cecilie wanted Harry to feel as relaxed as possible in order for his beauty to shine through each photograph in her monochromatic series. Stylist Alexander Harley brought in some of the best British designers for the shoot; Paul Smith and McQ by Alexander McQueen amongst them. Mixing the high fashion garments with more laid-back looks by Levi's and a few vintage pieces, the looks consisted of an edgy meets classic style. Harry looked completely at home in soft knitwear by Costume National, a soft cotton t-shirt by Dries van Noten and crisp McQ denim jeans.

For more beautiful photography and Harry's full editorial, issue 6 "The Truth About Boys” is out in shops now as well as available to order online.

Following our preview of Cecilie Harris' editorial with AMCK Models boy Harry Curran for our latest issue "The Truth About Boys", we present this exclusive video with Harry as Cecilie captures the very unique model as he moves around the set.

For the short film Cecilie shot Harry in a home environment. Capturing Harry in an exclusive video wearing Paul Smith, McQ by Alexander McQueen, Levi’s, Costume National and Dries van Noten. Styled by Alexander Harley, he takes high end designers to contrast against the relaxing home setting and calm but cool aura of Harry.

The concept behind the story of “Harry” was to capture more of the model and his endearing personality. When you first meet Harry you expect a rock star personality to go with his seriously strong look and amazingly cool hair, instead you’re greeted with a very humble and down to earth guy. One of those happy life surprises if you may. Strangely but wonderfully shy as we see in the short film, Harry still hides behind his hair with his hands rolled up in his jumper. However we still manage to catch a glimpse of the model's smile.

The music “The Man Who Sold The World” by David Bowie encapsulates the atmosphere of the video and Harry's beautifully awkward movements that we adore so much.

Make sure to see the editorial preview and get your hands on our latest issue to see the full 8-page spread.
