It's couture, not creating Greek Fire or something... there's no way these techniques would be difficult to re-learn. For all we know, the same employees could still be at Dior in theory!

I don´t like the dress when worn by the daughter. I like the dress when worn by the mother. What´s the problem?

I guess so. I just had in mind some of the Russian/Mongolian stuff Galliano showed and it just seems so unconventional to try to figure out and recreate. That stuff always looked like possibility was pushed to its limits.

They learn the same savoir-faire endlessly. And they usually keep the samples of everything and they have patterns and things like that.

Yes, a big house like Chanel will try to keep the savoir-faire forever but still some techniques can be lost, remember Mme Pouzieux featured in the documentary "Signé Chanel" ? She was the only one who knew how to do an specific braid technique, I imagine after her death that technique is gone.
