Roots is a Canadian brand, hence the beaver logo... they are the ones who outfitted the British, Canadian, and American Olympic teams in Salt Lake City From what I remember, they used to stock lots of sweatpants/hoodies/sweatshirts. They've probably rebranded/changed since then, I've noticed a lot of graphic tees and handbags in their display windows nowadays. They used to have celebrities in their campaigns because I remember Matt Dameon and Alanis Morrisette in them.

Also, I'm pretty sure almost every Canadian owns something by Roots, whether it is a hat, purse, t-shirt, etc...

roots is like the canadian version of ralph lauren. they've got great leather bags and stuff.. very algonquin park campy chic... they do bed/bath/home/accessories/shoes/clothes... nice stuff

i saw heather's ad for the gap in stores today.. it's sweet
