Thanks for starting this thread Ruthie! I've been meaning to give Helena one for awhile now, but I felt like I had created way too many threads in recent weeks. She's absolutely ethereal. I love that she can look so soft and delicate in some shots, and then vacillate over to looking slightly myterious and angular. Definitely a face to watch!
Anyhow here at the shots from Women Milan that didn't get posted yet. I think they were just added a few days ago though.
Thanks so much for getting those polaroids Nelly Cat! I've been waiting to see how she'd photograph in a pola. Helena definitely does not disappoint in those. I'm hoping that she'll be represented by Women in NYC, though I worry about how they plan on separating her appeal from that of Toni Garrn. I personally don't think they look much alike, as Helena is far more editorial and fashion-oriented in appeal, but I can see how the common, non-tFS viewer might be confused.
Lovely! It's great to finally see Helena on a runway. And you're right Saracita, it doesn't exactly have any bearing on her international standing, but we can hope that this will be some type of good publicity for her.
Her body type makes her look shorter than she actually is. But she's pretty fierce, and definitely one of the hottest newcomers in Sthlm. Right up there with Prada alumnae like Sara and Lovisa. I didn't hear anything, but likely word has spread that she's been well received internationally. It's in our insecure Swedish nature to only hype girls that have been deemed worthy by others.
Whether or not the Swedes are insecure by nature is neither here nor there. What I'm absolutely excited about is that Helena is finally alive and kicking on the runways. Yes the shots are somewhat unflattering, but it's nice to see that she's in such high demand.
I also realized that Ruthie's photos on the first page are pretty much all dead. I have most of her portfolio still saved somewhere, so I'll post it once I get the chance!
