They seem like they wouldn't make the best winter boots.

if they don't have good treds on ice, get dirty easily (think slush and salt and dirty snow) then they doesn't make sense as winter boots. It's true, they were designed for Australia where snow and ice aren't an issue. I could see them getting destroyed before winter is over.

Get them if you like them but don't justify them as winter boots

Personally I'd say get a nice comfortable pair of Hush Puppies boots. they have classic styles and can look nice at work but they are are designed for winter snow resistance.

oh god, i think uggs are wretched! i've been looking for winter boots and here are some ugg-ish styles that i like but are so so much prettier, from aldo and delias:

Just stay away from those ugly Uggs. Just DO SOMETHING: lock yourself up in your room if you feel the urge to run out and buy them.
