The dress is adorable, but I'd go for something a little more summer-ish, something with some color, especially for a rush.

A lot of my girl friends who did the rush wore brights.

I have a New York City themed Ring Dance (its a semi formal) coming up October 23. I bought these shoes with a New York skyline on the side a few months back and I really want to wear them to it, but I'm having problems finding a dress to go with it. Any suggestions??

I'd rather not just wear black. Everyone wears black to ring dance, and I feel with my super blonde hair and pale skin that I look a little too harsh in complete black.

-black tights (if you're not comfortable, try black drainpipes)
-high, high heels
-bold eye make up
-for ultimate edie, black and white stripes
-for colour, she wore furs, and in her biography there's a lot about peacock earrings
