The ombre colors is the freshest thing she have done so far. And the coat on Léon is the best thing in this collection.

She understands that the Hermès men are above trends so most of the time it's just the same clothes with a few different details. And it's not like the suits care to sell the runway clothes anyway.

Hermès ready-to-wear, both menswear and womenswear, has the potential to be truly exquisite and interesting, but instead we're forced to endure such basic clothes as this. Seriously am I seeing converse sneakers, baseball t-shirts, and trench coats styled with shorts? At a fashion show in Paris by supposedly one of the most prestigous brands in the world? Don't get me started on the hideous colour palette and those ghastly prints which should never have seen the light of day.

Hermès needs to hire someone like Haider Ackermann or even Kris Van Ascche to come in and add some polish to the clothing, and establish some kind of discernible vision and aesthetic, because when I look at these collections I am reminded of second-tier department store vibes. This is not at the level of high-fashion by any standards, and certainly not at the level of craftsmanship that their leather goods are. Most of their clothes are machine-finished and of a very basic standard; the tailoring is abominable and the knitwear, whilst being cashmere, is very ordinary.

I look forward to the day when they have a true creative vision behind the collections.

I like Veronique’s work because she knows and understand her clientele. It’s realistic, it’s well made and it’s not fashion. That’s not what the clientele comes for.
I wish the styling was better but it has the merit to be very identifiable and RTW.

But I’m also waiting for the day Haider comes in and elevate it a little bit. Hermès has a very artisanal approach. It’s all about the quality, the best fabrics, best materials, great cut and the effortless allure but sometimes we wish it is also about desirability.

You can be modern, sexy, desirable and still be Hermès. It’s not aspirational enough like an Armani (that goes for the same clientele) can be.

Yes, Hermes aren’t anxiously biting their nails to the bone anticipating the rise or fall of their brand if the kidz won't bite this… Still, looking like a casual cable guy with those hideous oversized zippered utilitarian pockets on the blazers and K-Way windbreakers just smells cheap chap cheap all around for the branding. There are brands that I don't care for/wouldn’t pay for— but, if I’m gifted with an unlimited shopping spree, I could easily walk out of their flagships with a wardrobe (like Dior Men and Armani…). This...? I wouldn’t even want it for free.

Yes Lola: Haider is absolutely ideal to elevate this from the Eddie Bauer aesthetic to luxury, high fashion for men without begging for likes/followers from the kidz.
