Hermès Menswear S/S 2024 Paris

This is a palate cleanser for the eyes after some of the other 'loud' Paris mens shows.
It's very much in the Giorgio Armani territory...but very well executed and on brand.
Véronique is very consistent in her output, which honestly can be a relief at times.

I agree that the shoes are rather unforgiveable :grinningwsweat:

Hideous shoes but the rest is great.

Really?! I think the opposite, it's pretty great!
I think the opposite, too. These are clothes for adult men, designed by an adult person. It’s FUBU (for us, by us) in high-fashion form. Clothes that can go from work to play, day to evening, runway to real life..if you can afford it. She gets a round of applause from me.

Never expected Hermès of all brands to divide opinions! I do like it but I agree that the shoes should be relegated to the darkest corner of a seaside street market.

A lot of this is really tacky and kitschy and not to mention very infantile. This is nowhere near the level of sophisticated that you'd expect from a brand like Hermes. Even The Row looks more prestige than whatever this is...

My favorite look was Veronique’s.
I just don’t find it fresh. There are some cute pieces but the whole thing gives me « pétanque à Marseille » or « weekend a Frejus ».
I don’t think those pants will look good on regular men and I don’t think the double belt styling is something I want to see on the catwalk of Hermes menswear…

I usually like her work but I guess this time I’m not into it.

Not bad at all. I am just tired of Veronique Nichanian at the helm of the menswear.

She becomes very predictable and she will definitely not challenge herself to push the Hermes’ code for men.

The shoes are really awful.

very Armani indeed but with the Italian brand we always get it’s unmistakable core.

few individual pieces that look great but not as sharp as I’m usually used to when looking at an Hermès collection. the styling is definitely a plus.

Oh I was feeling more a Brittany thing, "let's sail from Saint-Malo to Quiberon", but without the obvious strips.
