Is this an exercise in selling as much RTV as they can? The styling is very confusing with many layers piled on top of each other. The Hermes woman is much more chic than this.

Otherwise, nice collection, if your idea of summer vacation is admiring fjords and northern lights in Norway.

I saw the live-feed for this a few hours ago, and thought it was the start of PFW.

But it's a resort collection, in a far-flung destination? And it's incredibly over-styled, too? And sparkly boots as well? I wouldn't expect any of this from Hermes.

Otherwise, fab fashions nonetheless.

It´s so 80s dated, suffocating, oversized and with a garish colour palette...that I wonder if Olivier Rousteing is secretly working for Hermès...

Ummm like it’s fine. Over layered and styled especially for resort, though pretty sure that’s the stylistic cues from the merch team. It’s not an easy to navigate collection at all though. The last thing you want from a destination show (in Shanghai no less, where a huge proportion of your clients are probably sitting at).

The whole thing feels…heavy. Heavy on the styling, heavy on the material, heavy on the colors/color combination. Any potential beauty of the individual pieces has been drowned out by the overwrought styling.

I also don’t see any obvious or cliched motifs relative to Shanghai - this is a plus for me but it could very well be that they were just lazy.

On a side note, this lady really does not know where how and when she should use leather.

I really dislike her work. It’s always so dusty. This collection has no elegance. How I lust after lemaires Hermes. Especially towards the end of his tenure.

it's really not modern nor elegant nor hermes no soul no direction just stuff

at this point hermes needs one vision CD to oversee the fashion outputs the house having all different departments run by different Cd´s it's becoming messy the designs are just products and its missing a soul.

To answer @Alquimista, Hermès called it "F/W - Chapter 2" and not Cruise, and I agree it is not necessary, they should aim for a poem instead of a full novel.

I would like to see something 'essential' from Hermès and not an exercise in styling as many polite-but-boring clothes in an outfit. The color combinations are terrible as usual - Not sure launching couture with this woman in charge will be something to look ahead to.

They should just offer it to Phoebe and call it a day. Not that I expect crazy fresh ideas but at least a kind of fashion that can make sense in the frame work of Hermès and likely leading up to a better outcome.
