LOST ...you bought high waist jeans lol , thats what i say never say never, you succumbed finally lol . hmm high siwy crops , how high are they btw?? I checked their website , i like the celine and kate but i still only wear skinnies for boots , that too cropped skinnies .

Another trend which is looming on the horizon is 2 tone denim , i think it looks really nice . http://www.shopbop.com/chastity-wid...223.htm?folderID=2534374302029428&fm=whatsnew
those are soo pretty.

Im a size D too btw ,actually wearing skinny legs emphasizes ones boobs more , you become a giant ice cream come , also with skinny flares it can be a problem because its still tight till the knees , but at the same time , im talking in general , they are those magic jeans which defy rules , but personally I have been in denim industry for about 9 years so , I have an idea IMO of what looks good . I personally suggest Ginger jeans or Joes muse jeans , which come in a straight 19-20 inch leg or a larger 24 inch trouser leg.

I suppose i figured by wearing a lose top ( I am a 30dd, so pretty small still) would camo the bulk uptop, and bring the eye to the legs.

i jsut don't want my hips to look as big as my chest--- i.e. balance it.

hey disco the siwy one's i have are not cropped, they go all the way down and are not tapered like skinnies. i actually feel the look best with low heels ( like 2") then I look super tall.
I got these because they fit well and i like skinnies with a shirt kind of pulled out a little. i wish I could wear it with a tube top, but with my flat chest and a bodysuit of any kind being tugged in high waisted jeans, i'd end up topless.
They are definitely not as high as the acne ones those are just ******** ridiculous!

hips as big as chest = hourglass figure, right? that's a very beautiful body type...:flower: marilyn monroe, 50s bombshells, pinups, barbie dolls.

and that's vaguely one thing i'm going for when i'm wearing high waists and it's hard for me to do because i'm small ontop and then the high waist jean can actually make me look like i have no waist and even narrower through the hips if the rise isn't high enough. ...that is why i like the acne high rises.

perhaps my intuition of going higher when you've got somewhat narrow hips to begin with is wrong. :ninja: because my best higher waisted jeans are a men's cut of nudies called thin finn that has a 9.75/10'' front rise.

oh disco, the rise on the siwy is 10.5", i just measured it, but my ruler is kind of old..so you made a good guess.

my cousin use to wear high waist straight legs(called drainpipes in 1979) with ***** bow blouses or puff sleeve tops . Dont wear big *** long tshirts or house of holland shirts with these jeans , it kills the beauty of it . so basically 11 inches , so it must hover at or slightly above you belly button? I personally am aiming to get the kissit dittos jean or the the chastity jean which i posted , the variety of high waist jeans is insane , its like they took over this year.

i think lowrise suits a more boyish frame. it also lengthens the torso--- good if yours is short. why not try a flare? those add weight to the lower body.

I hope the two-toned denim trend takes off.. it looks really cool when not done cheaply ;)

I love the style of this entire brand..the top is amazing too.

those are super cute...
the superfines are cute too--but i prefer blue jeans now.... (I guess the hipie vibe is rubbing off on me)

yeah i like retro colored blues in denim , I find them eye catching and cute , dark blue jeans though they are slimming and flattering , they look dull and makes the jean seem more like a pant . The zazou seems like that , hopefully intermix will stock and I will buy it but i have to see it in person first and try it on

I was going to buy some high waisted today but couldn't find any that I liked

I have those jeans too!!! Are you wearing them with shirts tucked in? I can't decided if they look good with t-shirts yet. So far I've only worn them with silk blouses.

I tried on a pair yesterday and they looked so awful in my hands but after they were on, they didn't look half bad. It's just really weird cos they cover your belly button and I am not used to it, but hm! I might even buy a pair in the near future. It's kind of hard, you've got to pair them with the right shirt or blouse. It's really hit or miss.

whenever you try on a a high waist jean ,try it on with a snug shirt , henly , fitted blouse , or cropped blouses or shrugs , since these tops are are available at any store.

whenever i hear that word henley, disco, it makes me crack up. i know you use the term all the time, but it reminds me of a 70s shirt or something from a jcrew catalog in the 90s

i call them henleys , isnt that the right name??, my cousins call it skivvies ( sounds cooler) , actually they were popular in the 70s , but now stores like AE and AF sell them by the truckloads and call them long sleeve tees lol , they arent !
