his first official presentation this season:heart: quite good too....quite different too in his extensive work with print than i ever remember. i'm loving the 50's silhouette, which is something we've seen bruno work with in the past but it looks quite new and refreshing in this context.

It's seems almost too long that Bruno Pieters dissapeared from the catwalk, so happy to see him re-establish himself...the clothes are very beautiful, I prefer a little bit more minimal from him (I still think of what he did when he was working for Hugo Boss) But he really has a dinstinctive eye for color.

^I agree, the colors were very well chosen for this collection and they really enhance the cuts and patterns, though I'm actually not a fan of the prints themselves at all. And I also agree about preferring the more minimal looks from him in general. I like looks #2 - 5 and also some of the striped stuff; mainly the mini skirts with the bold stripes. This doesn't really wow me as a whole but there are some cute ideas and interesting shapes.

Thanks for posting, Scott!

I like some of the silhouettes too. Mainly the interest at the sleeve. Samurai meets sports at the sleeve. But somehow this just doesn't feel like Bruno Pieters to me. We're definitely sure it's his work? as Honest is also an umbrella for other designers too. I'm sure OP that you do have it right so I use the point moreso to illustrate just how not Bruno I find this offering.

hmmm...i dunno....those cuts are pure bruno to me. i just don't know anybody who cuts clothing the way this guy does. it's very different it's approach compared with the initial offering he did at honest by,but it really seems like he wants to to use this initiative in a different way without losing his essence.

anyone who doesn't like this needs their head examined...
this is so widely and vastly appealing i cannot even believe my eyes...
truly something for everyone...

and this one for meeeeee!!!...
tiny skirt and giant shirt...

except the shoes....:ninja:
though they are good in the pictures...
^_^

^seriously! i am dreaming of that look on the model with the tattoos. and you are right, this does have something for everybody which is something i love about this whole endeavour from bruno. what i love even more is that it is both accessible but it has depth and variation.

^^^ Ok you guys have me won over. I have liked everything I've seen from Pieters before so I'll ride with your insights and see where that takes me. In viewing the shop link posted above I did like some things more.

the shoes are a bit like two of them aren't they?

the pattern in #4 is called seigaiha. sei gai ha = blue sea wave.
so it represents waves. nami pattern.

great observations runner as always! that's very cool that you were able to pinpoint that wave print reference. i suppose it does all sort of tie into the kimono/hakama shapes.

hard to see in the small pic- are those fish?!
kawaii!!!

my favourites really have to be that group of black and white(that sleeveless wrap dress is absolutely sublime)...

same here, love Honest By since the begining
most interesting fashion concept around

love, love

i really like how one of the looks is shown on both man and woman--and it totally works! it's not gimmicky--it's a seamless transition.

i so hope this project of his succeeds! it's inspiring to see someone take action to change some of the things that are dysfunctional about the way clothes are manufactured.

I like it! The clean shapes, the proportions and the prints. I even kinda like those striped pointy shoes! ^_^
