Houndstooth

i like houndstooth, but i feel that it's just so everywhere right now...i haven't seen too much of it on runways though....and i don't much like the HUGE houndstooth. i could also go for a bit of color variation from the usual black and white.

that scarf (was it?) that you posted, mmh, is very nice...welcome! :flower:

hey, mmh i love your pic actually... just wondering and i feel a little like a bogan - but what is it? a scarf?

AGAIN! will it go away?

Yohji Yamamoto, fall 2003, I hope past seasons are alright, I've chosen to interpret the title of this thread rather generally:

But feel free to direct me otherwise:ninja: :ninja: ^_^

I'm not a huge fan, unless yohji does it. it's classic but not for me.

i love, love houndstooth. especially black/white. i bought a houndstooth coat last winter and loved wearing it. today i also got to wear it for the first time this season. :)

That's ok Jennifer~, as long as you post accordingly to the thread title. If it doesn't contain any specification, it's not a problem. :flower:

Those Yohji pics are STUNNING, wow.... ...I can't believe such beautiful print has been ruined, well to me that is, because of its overexposure.

Houndstooth? I didnt know what it was!

Thanks for the pics ... we call it "pata de gallo" in spanish .. its stands for "c*ck feet", I think ... (you know as in c*ck and hen) ... that pattern is interesting ... but I think I'd wear it in measure ...

Hum ... gingham I kinda like .. maybe we'll see a revival like when Brigitte Bardot wedding gown was made of it (back in the 70's) and everyone wore it

and it should be "pied de poule " in French and "principe di gallo"
in italianB)
correct me if i'm wrong
anyway i sort of like it, not too much though.
I mean just one piece with this pattern is okay, but more than one maybe is too much:doh:

love the oversized houndstooth at donna karan...

i just love houndstooth all the time...

...

love the skirt in post #32... it is a very business-like pattern, but classy

I think I prefer it medium-to oversized ... but not too much .. I mean .. I'd wear it only on one piece ..not liking it head-to-toe

Bumping this thread to bring it back to the present time. This way the server switching error will be undone.

That Yohji Yamamoto scarf is amazing... as is the Charles Nolan suit.

I have a teal and black wool houndstooth mini skirt that I purchased from H&M a few years ago... I like the way it looks with black tights and black patent leather mary jane pumps.

i adore the big hounds tooth

although im not so fond of the smaller hounds tooth just looks like a blurry television screen to me:lol:

i liked how yohji incorporated the houndtooth print in different sizes in one single outfit.... a classic.....
