House of DVF

I download the series after seeing this thread and I'm so glad I did because I thoroughly enjoyed watching each episode. Must admit that I didn't know much about DVF but Diane herself is clearly a very inspirational woman who captivates everyone in her presence. Diane came across very well in the series and was the complete opposite of what I was expecting.

I have just this minute finished the final episode and I'm disappointed Brittany won the position. Amanda should've won, I think. Jessica Joffe didn't sound too enthusiastic about working with Brittany either which made me question DVF's decision. Nonetheless, I wish Brittany all the success with working for the brand.

I can see why DvF choose Brittany, but I like Amanda more, but it was obvious she's seemed a bit too young/unexperienced for the position. Brittany looked very professional. Hopefully bad Britanny doesn't surface otherwise it will be a one way ticket out I guess, especially because DvF's assistents don't like her that much. Keir is really unbelievable.
The last episode was the best imo because we did see a lot of fashion unlike other episodes where the drama was the main objective.

I'd really like to know which model it was that was giving Kier such a hard time...

^ No doubt, her agency called the producers of the show and, told them not to reveal their client's identity, for it would give her a bad rap within the industry and, may even cost her some jobs in the future. It's happened to other girls before.

'House of DVF' Is Coming Back for a 2nd Season
You guys liked reading our recaps of E!'s "House of DVF" and apparently you liked watching the actual show, too. The network announced Thursday that it will be bringing back the reality show for a second season with eight new episodes.

The show, if you're not familiar, follows a group of women as they compete for the role of a brand ambassador for Diane von Furstenberg. Season two will have a special twist, as season one winner Brittany Hampton will be tasked with finding a new group of contestants, all while she "juggles traveling the globe and acclimating to her new, high-pressure position," per a press release. We'll see her do things like attend Paris Fashion Week, style celebrities for award shows and make store appearances. Sounds like being a brand ambassador is as cool as we thought it would be.

“I am excited to film a second season of House of DVF,” said Von Furstenberg in a statement. “The show is about my fashion world and while it is entertaining and informative, I will also continue to provide empowering messages to a generation of young women.” Jessica Joffe and Stefani Greenfield will be back for season two as well.

According to E!, "House of DVF" was a top five show for the coveted 18-34 demographic on Sunday nights. So what made this show a success? We tuned in for the drama, the back-stabbing and to see buttoned-up fashion people respond to the show's eager, unpredictable cast members. According to Jeff Olde, executive vice president of original programming and development for E!, “When hopes and dreams are on the line and in the hands of one of the most recognizable fashion tycoons in the world, the result is good television, and fans are invested in the process following the freshman series run."

So maybe it was that. Will you be tuning in for season two?
