    I had a facial yesterday & I do not find it a particularly relaxing experience at all. I get so uptight because I don't know what she is going to do to me next. I get a fright when she puts the hot towel on my face. I think it has been good for my skin though. My skin has been really quite stressed receently so I needed to do something to pep it up. She didn't do any 'extraction'.......

    Once a month without fail. I think facials are one of the most relaxing treatments available. You can just lie there for an hour and a half and zone out - unlike massage, where you have to turn over halfway through.

    :question::question::question::question:

    What a minute...there's rolling over in a massage? What on earth to they find to massage on the front of a person? :shock:

    Obviously I've never had a massage outside of the ham-fisted backrubs my husband can occasionally be persuaded to perfom upon my back when I'm all stiff and stressed out.

    ^ They get the front of your arms, legs, and shoulders on the roll over. They'll also massage your head and face. So nice!! Probably not what you were thinking, huh? It's all legit :lol:

    I went for thalasso therapy and it created this huge huge huge huge cyst on the side of my nose and it got more and more swollen until I just had to relieve the pressure and then the scar took ages to go away, its still a bit red to this day. Never again!

    ^ salt, baby, salt! The beach is a great exfoliator for your feet, too! Your getting two for the price of one and they're both free :clap:

    I've never gotten one (a real one, anyway) :( That's first on my list of things to treat myself, too!

    The reason I went to facial is only for massage. I asked the facialist first if they would do massage only. I don't like the act for open pores and took out the blackheads ..rrrrrrr.....it was scare.

    huh?:huh: I try and get a facial every other month (that's what my facialist tells me) but I like getting one every month I just haven't had the extra $$ to go :cry: I like getting a seaweed masque when I go too.. she does it at the end to minimize the pores it kind of stinks but I've come to love the smell :blush: and it's a extra $15 I think

    I used to go once a month, but since I've been away from NY and up at college in VT, I haven't found a salon that I really love. So now it's like every 3 months when I get a chance to go home :-/
