Erdem, you in danger, girl!
The problem with Zhang's collections is that I find it too scholarly. It's like a design student's first collection. Very desperate to please, and maybe a bit too serious. Almost a caricature of fashion. It seems he tried to play around with some elements from the Qi dynasty which I like. Pity it doesn't come together very well. I would be interested in a more defined East meets West collection with at least some playfulness.
That he's evolved as far as to mimic Erdem is in itself a triumph. Some fancy every now and then wouldn't hurt.
