DIAMONDS may be a girl's best friend, but a bit of gold can still put a boy in the good books – and Korean jewellery designer Hyunkyung Park could well be the name he should know. Her stunning creations comprise the finest gold threads that cage the wrist or finger in spring-like sculptural shapes that are as unusual as they are delicate. Having graduated from the Royal College of Art at the beginning of July, where past success stories include those of Lara Bohinc and Francesca Amfitheatrof (whose CV includes jewellery for Marni, Chanel and Garrard), Park went straight on to win the 2005 Grima Award from the World Gold Council.
