I . . . don't . . . hate it? Idk there's something that reminds me of that early 2000s spirit that i-D used to have that died when Alastair McKimm took over.
I like the first and third covers posted above. I like the photography, styling, and color scheme. I see quality in the execution. The second cover is not good at all. It is not a cover worthy photo. I would definitely be tempted to look inside if there was a print issue.
I love this, they really evoke the energy that i-D seemingly lost somewhere along the way... And how could you possibly go wrong with a nod to Knight's Dior campaign? Truly hot!
How could you possibly doubt someone's corporate-filtered rendering of British street and general youth culture fed back to the people in an agenda-filled format?
I like it in that format, they should have made a water illusion with the cover, it makes it look interesting. I once randomly walked into that store during a visit to NY and didnt realize that it was that big a deal in the industry terms of being a magazine mecca. I was mesmerized by the varying magazines and spent quite some time there!
