I'm a bit of an audiophile, so I encode my songs in the Apple Lossless format. They sound great!

Also, my nano doubles as a backup drive for productivity software.

I love Mac! It's great to leave Windows at work and come home to Mac.

How long does the battery last, realistically? Cos I got the mini and said it would last up to 8 hours, yeah try up to 1.5 hours!

Have you experienced any problems? Any?

The battery is low thats a problem on every iPod ...

i dunno how lonG the BAttery exactly LAsts.. about 1 hour if not leSs
and till now didnt face any problem but oncE i was charging it and it stopped and the light was Opened and i couldnt Close it
dunno wut was the problem i kept it till the battery finished and it closed bu itselF...

My first ipod was a mini ipod, the batteries on that one could last for about 4 hours, now i have a nano and i think the batteries lasts a little bit longer, but i guess it depends. If you change songs och listens to high volume the battery wont last for long.

Maybe shuffles are different, but my battery lasts for hours...

nanos are crap they scrap so easily .. i always put myn in an empty pocket in a rubber case and yet its still scrathed to death
Also batetry life is alfull ... maybe i should have charged it a bit longer with that 1st charge

I'm looking for a really tacky designer nano case--blinged out, logoed, etc. The more awful the better. I've only seen horrible full-sized ipod and ipod mini cases.

Anybody seen anything like that recently?

Haha. Coach just came out with the Soho Stripe and Minisignature Nano cases, we have a Python one coming out aswell as a Scribble. The Scribble and Python have yet to be released, the Ipod Video cases are due in OCTOBER, by then there'll be a new Ipod.

I wanted a Nano for my birthday or Christmas, but since I kept postponing the purchase of it, I realized that it would be a major distraction....
though, now recently seeing those iPod cases...
I want one again...
it would be nice to not have to turn on the computer to listen to podcasts and specific songs though...
