Finished up with a brief stay in Tinseltown, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder arrived for an outbound flight at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, CA on Monday (August 8).

The "Vampire Diaries" lovers walked side-by-side as they toted their luggage up to the security checkpoint, with Ian posting a short and sweet message reading, "Taking off - Thanks LA".

The travels come after the co-star couple had quite the big previous night at the Teen Choice Awards - with their show winning in five categories.

As for their Teen Choice triumphs, the CW cast took home Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Choice TV Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Choice TV: Female Scene Stealer and Choice TV: Male Scene Stealer.

Ian poses with The Elephant Project’s beanie baby mascot to support the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

The Elephant Project is an organization that raises money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association. Celebrities pose for a pic with an elephant beanie baby and sign its special tag, which is then auctioned off with all funds going to fight the disease.

There are currently more than 45 auctions live on eBay to raise money for the cause.

Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley attend the 2012 People’s Choice Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Wednesday (January 11) in Los Angeles.

The Vampire Diaries co-stars came out to support their hit CW series, which was nominated for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show and Favorite Network TV Drama.

Ian, who met up with Terrance Howard on the carpet, was also up for Favorite TV Drama Actor against David Boreanaz, Hugh Laurie, Nathan Fillion, and Patrick Dempsey.

Cast mate and Ian’s real-life girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, took home the Favorite TV Drama Actress Award!
