Unfortunate that the coverstory is a Prada advertorial of the blandest denominator that even midrange consumer brands make more of an effort with. Had Benedict been styled with just tad of effort in Anthony’s YSL, the story would have been instantly elevated to higher fashion for men. The remainder of the fashion stories are solid: Hints of Bruce with the B&W shots of the Bach story and the best boys of summer shoot with “The Sheltering Sky”. Playing Don Henley’s melancholic “Boys of Summer” as the soundtrack for this issue makes wonderful sense.
