In flight travel essentials!

I usually take only short flights as well (somewhere between 2-3 hours) but unfortunately, I live far away from the airport and in order to make it to the very early morning flight, I have to spend the night at the airport.
I usually watch 2-3 movies of my laptop to spend the time, as for other essentials, I always take concealer and brown eyeshadow. Also, lip balm and if it's in winter's time, moisturizer, of course. I can't read on plane so no magazines, but always must have a music player! If I'm lucky, the person sitting next to me will be fun to talk to

Needles to say, tissues and a bottle of water. I also usually take a hoodie and a few scarves with me. I'm always either too cold or too hot on the plane.

Most important of all, a secure wallet and passport case.

I never wear face make-up when flying, my skin is very unforgiving when it comes to airplane air :( . Also I keep a small pot of moisturizer, face oil and lipbalm in my carry-on!

I learned my lesson last week. My skin was soooo dry on a flight from San Diego to PDX. Next month I'm leaving the powder off so I can moisturize my face ever 5 minutes if I have to.

I save the little spritz from travel sets or little samples and carry just mineral water inside (they are small enough to pass through airport security check). And spritz the water while in the cabin. I don't ever wear any makeup no matter what. If I need to look presentable straight after the flight, I will probably just start putting makeup before landing.

A new must have travel essential for me is one of those little bottles of anti-bac hand lotion.

^
yes, anti-bac is must!
i am allways using it,
even when i am not flying!

my flight to london is coming closer and closer.
thank god, it is quite short flight...3 hours or something
like that.
anti-back, gum, hand/face lotion, water and i will survive.
if the plane don´t crash down...just joking...
:ninja::shock::lol:
i just hate flying.

Anti bacteria lotion, a good facial mist (for when the skin feels extra dry, Clinique Moisture Surge is good!) hand moisturizer, lip balm... basically anything and everything to moisturize :P

Increased security problems...

It's really hard for me to even consider carrying any skincare lotions or other expensive products because they usually throw it in the bin. Each airport seems to have different standards of security. Some of them don't mind it if you carry a water bottle, while others do.

Me neither, especially if it's a long flight.

I thought this was very spot-on ^^

^Haha... that's so spot on!

Anyways, I was thinking about some websites I like to use when I'm either about to travel or just like seeing what the latest travel-related stuff are (can't you tell I'm always in a state of wanderlust!^_^). Two of my favorites are 3floz.com and flight001.com. 3floz is devoted to travel sized beauty products... a pretty great idea! Especially if you like a certain product but it wasn't in a small size. And flight001 is just an awesome site for all sorts of travel needs. Anyways, I was wondering what other websites people like to use for finding travel related products?

An airport security allowed me to hand-carry my (Balenciaga) perfume once but he couldn't excuse my 75mL bottle of lotion. Now I transfer my liquids to those small bottles I buy from Muji... and oh those Kiehl's samples are heaven-sent (no pun intended) tbh!

My sister carried the Dior Serum...

I gave her on the plane once and I was surprised they didn't ask her to throw it out. It was worth a $100 dollars. Thanks for the nice idea with the small bottles. I can't believe I didn't think of that before!

It would've been crazy if they threw it pre-departure... That same security even told us that he could have allowed me to carry that bottle if the other security hadn't seen it. Some of them are actually nice :P

I stock those small bottles with my toner, cleanser, liquid hand soap, sanitizer. I really find it hard to pack lotion because I could never estimate the right amount that I should bring.

Yeah, my skin gets pretty dry, especially during the winter time. I packed a miniature bottle of lotion I had bought from Sephora.

Next week I'm going on a vacation (read: 5-hour flight). Things I always have on me when flying:

  • headphones/music
  • a good book
  • solid perfume. I use it to block out nasty smells by rubbing some under my nose. I've had some bad luck with the passengers around me..
  • chewing gum
  • food
  • empty waterbottle to fill after customs.
  • contacts + fluid
  • glasses

Book
Scarf
Snacks
Dramamine
Neroli oil
Rosebud salve
L'occitane hand cream
Embryolisse lait creme concentre
Mints
Anti bac hand wipes
Cream blush from Bobbi Brown
Concealer
Toothbrush and tooth paste
Hair product
Face wash
Pen and notebook
Water
