If you guys are ever looking for great beads, unique jewelry, hand made sandals, bright fabrics for a cheap price go to your local indian fashion store.

There is one in Old Montreal that I go to all the time. The the owner's husband makes flip flop sandals with the fanciest beading with soft silk material. If you're extra nice to him he'll make you personalized ones :innocent:

I also buy material that I use as scarves or as a wrap for the beach.

I know some of you are into making purses and clothing so I thought it could be useful for you guys.

Anyway I just thought you guys might be interested because all the time people are asking me where I got my sandals and my scarves and beads :flower:

In London, there is of course Brick Lane.
And there are really horrible area's like Southall and Tooting which have a high concentration of these stores. I don't go there because of the trafic, but when you need to buy something, you gotta go somewhere.

We only have a few in montreal. I prefer the mom and pop place because they know how to please their customers.

The younger couple who are from New Dehli have a boutique with more modern clothing mixed with indian fashion. THeir clothing are great but I dont like the way they do business. A bit too greedy. They wouldnt even let me exchange a gift for a size larger.

Hboogie I love it also. It is very versitile. Looks classy with a fancy dress for a party and gives a bohemian look with jeans and a linen shirt.

Sometimes I over do it with the jewelry and people make comments but I dont care, after all I'm getting attention because of my cool jewelry and they arent getting any :p

I'll post pictures of these shoes I wore to a wedding, remind me if I don't.

Leyla, Southall Rocks, sure does. When you watch the people leave the gurdwara (Holy temple) and enter the glassy junction (pub), you cant help but loaugh. My seihk friend just cracks me up with these tales. Those punjabi's and their alchy palky.......
