OH WOW! I just watched the b&w Inguna video from post #1023 and I am just STUNNED at how gorgeous she is!!! She looks SO much like Audrey Hepburn and she moves like a ballerina! Please, can someone tell me how to save the video on to my computer?? PS: I think I might have to move Inguna up to #1 after this!!!

ALSO, does anyone know the title of the piece of music that plays in this video? It's gorgeous, the whole thing is just gorgeous! I could watch it all day ^_^

I read in an intereview that she's more comfortable speaking Russian than English and that this is why she's often seen hanging out with Natasha and Valentina, both of whom are from Russia. The article also said she studied fashion design for three years in Moscow. So I was wondering if Inguna speaks Russian fluently. Do they teach Russian as a second language in Latvian schools? Do most Latvians speak, or at least understand, Russian?

She does speak Russian fluently; however, she was in Russia studying interior design, not fashion design. She went to a fairly prestigious art school in Riga, as well. I believe, but I'm not sure that she went to Moscow International Art School for college. Hope that helps!

Oh, ETA! Yes, you can learn Russian, but the cognates between the languages are difficult. Latvian is a baltic family language, whereupon Russian is Slavic, but this doesn't mean there aren't some cognates. I'm sure there a few words filtered in between all the families! From what I understand, a lot of people in Latvia understand and know Russian fairly well because of a. the former USSR (mostly the older generation) and b. proximity to the country.

All I can say about Inguna and her ability to speak fluently Russian is that yes in Latvia Russian language is as much used as Latvian :yuk: And Inguna's mom is also Russian judging by her name Gaļina ;) So it's no wonder why she could speak so perfect in Russian
