this is the first time i ever said i like Imitation of Chirst work. i truly like the 80's inspired body-conscioused sportswear look ( paet of Patrick Kelley, part of Xuly Bet, part of Helmut Lang, imo.) such as hoody zipper jacket, little black dress ( my favorite) and big jersey with short skirt( very Tara Subokoff i must say.) the color themes in this category are very solid and simple, only black and grey. Besides the new fall collection,( in which Chloe Sevigny walked the first look) there were at least 10pieces that were very old IOC, that is, vintage beaded dresses, little bat wing top here and there, simply loyally followed the previous IOC path, so i wasn't impressed much. ( though they were very similar to what i just found from the $10 stores on my street.) as for mens' collection, i personally liked it. ( i have to admit anyone can pull that off by going to Salvation Army, though.) Male models masked with circus clown makeup, which was coordinated with the pre-show performance from a group of circus dancers, along with female models riding on the horse being brought in to the spot, the show was moody and somewhat melocholic (sp). The show was held in NY's Chelsea Pier 63, which was huge and freezing, mixed with the smell from the horse sh*t, i witnessed on the spot a sad, mellow, dreamy yet a more mature IOC show, so far the only collection i like. i even think i'm so going to sport the IOC look for my spring outfits. that's how much i like it.
