Regarding the "who does what best" I don't think there is any way to make it accurate or objective (and trying to keep it updated would be a nightmare as would deciding who should contribute, etc) so I don't think it should be attempted. As pixie star pointed out, bags can even vary by batch so there really is NO way to tell. I think anyone who frequents the board (and knows how to use the search function) can see what the general consensus is regarding who does what and they are always welcome to post on a specific bag to ask who does it well.

cloudy: I think your bag looks quite veiny and wrinkled. It's one of the best black bbags I've seen! Distressed is the term for wrinkled, worn looking leather and your bag *looks* quite distressed in the pics you posted. Is it different IRL? Also, the leather conditioner takes the shine off the bags, it doesn't make a bag less distressed. I condition my bags to break them in and make them more distressed.

I walked by a Chanel Boutique tonight and some of the bags are stunning......but the Classic Flaps, IMHO, look just like our reps (and not even the best reps)! The one on display in the window was wrinkled (unevenly, not in a distressed looking way) and looked slighty lopsided. I know some people swear there's a huge difference, but I don't see it. I'm just so happy with my reps!! I know that about 95% of people, when they think of reps, they think of crappy, " grade A" bags that are plastic and fall apart after three uses. Our bags are SO much better than this and most of the time I feel like my bags are auth! They're made with the same material, by the same machines and look the same!! The very, very minor details that may be different, usually have absolutely NOTHING to do with quality and more to do with subtle nuances that are merely used to distinguish an auth from a rep. If design houses can't make their bag's QUALITY what sets it apart from our bags, then why on earth should I buy them?

I received my 4th T&D bag today. I can't believe I ordered 4 bags in less than a month! LOL! I got the Mogano City RH clearance bag. Then next order was a Magenta Work RH and a Noir GSW Work. Today my Truffle Day bag arrived and I think I love it best! It's so comfortable on my shoulder... I want a Day in Rubisse. BAD... . but there are other bags I want too.... like the Damier Neverfull & the Speedy Cube.... too many decisions with not enough cash.. LOL!

i have to agree about the website organization. after looking at some of the sites, and talking with some people, i think it's safe to say that the reason our seller's list is so short is because we worked hard to find the BEST reps at the BEST prices. good stuff is hard to find, and we've all done our homework to find that stuff.

As to the compilation list - its certainly not a problem if you don't think we should pursue it. I've been a member of this board for a very long time albeit not a prolific poster and I can certainly use the search function to find the information I need. Just thought it would be easier for newer members to have at least a general list to reference before they make a costly mistake.

Alex - Thanks for looking at the sites. I'm guessing that the stuff wasn't that great? If that's the case am glad I had someone else take a look because I'm not great with auth/rep comparison via photo.

yeah, not great quality and the prices are pretty inflated. i think sticking with the sellers we've collected is a good idea (for now). there's always room for improvement...we just need to continue the search.

But knowing Catty and her infamous better-in-real-life pics...

I really want a bag that I can hang all those cutesy LV charms off...feel that the Trouville's small size might look alright with them... and the charms can help to make the otherwise monogrammed trouville look more funky too..haha...
