it's so hard to take pictures of bags! I couldn't get the real color to show up on my camera. It's not as blue as it seems in the pictures, it's more green. It's very slouchy too. It's my 2nd nbf, I don't know how I should treat and protect it, thoughts?

PinkPrincess113 thanks for clearing things up. I thought that T&D's GGH was just silver, sprayed in a gold tone (hence the reason why it's that yellowish color). When crystal said that they were gold plated I thought that they switched to something similar to the auth. I do recall seeing pics of someone comparing their amethyst (i think) GGH with their older black GGH. After all, I guess I'm still a T&D newb .

nalgene sorry for not being specific I was asking whether you can confirm if the GGH yellow or not. I thought that if it was gold plated then it would be less yellow. But nevermind since pinkprincess basically summed it up for me .

sanitizedfashion thanks for asking everyone about the ps1. I tried asking in the past but no one really answered my question. I was so close in ordering Jacky's ps1 since I really love the style. But since the structure is poor I won't be getting it. Perhaps I will consider the alexa now.

I had my hot date with T&D yesterday!

The boys are SOOO NICE!! And they are ADORABLE. They treated me to dinner and drinks at a rowdy German restaurant. The margaritas were flowing! We hung out for three hours and they told me about their lives in Guangzhou, their business, and the art of making le handbag. Sorry I won't be divulging any of their secrets

HOWEVER, the boys wanted me to tell you that the nasty smell that the bags have is definitely NOT from their factory. I told them how when my bags got delivered to USA, they smelled like a chemical factory. BUT when I was getting them in Beijing, they were perfection, smelling only like leather. WELL, we figured out why: When bags leave China, the customs agents spray all packages with pesticides for fear of nasty bugs getting imported to other countries and destroying their ecosystems and all that jazz. Since the bags are sitting around in plastic wrap for a week or two in transport, that just makes matters worse. So please don't blame the boys for the nasty smell anymore, because honestly, upon arriving in China myself, my new bags have never smelt that way.

Also, they showed me the galet and sorbet swatches in person. the leather is TDF! Galet is especially gorgeous, I am for sure getting at least 2 bags in that :-)

Sorry for the sparse details right now, but I'm happy to answer questions. I'm in Hong Kong at the moment, and plan to visit the Balenciaga store at the Landmark - will be doing some spying for the boys

that VD day with GGH is OUT OF CONTROL! wow, that is one gorgeous bag.

beaver - glad you had fun with the guys! does this chinese agents, open the packages and spray the actual bag or the exterior of the package? my BAG was smelled rank, not the box. it was definitely the interior of the dust bag (which still smells) and the bag itself, inside and out.

OMG Girl! Color me envious. T&D are amaazing. Their CS is beyond exceptional & they make beautiful bags.

I have 1 NBF bag en route to me: a Vert d'Eau RH First. Ihave wanted a Bal First in that color since 2005, when Bal did Seafoam (I think) & so many celebs were photographed in US Weekly & The Star wearing it. Congrats to all my TFS ladies who have already received their NBF Vert d'Eau bags - they all look beautiful - will post pics of mine when it arrives.

Also, I ordered a Galet City from the boys - I have never had a City before. Grey is my favorite neutral, & my NBF Officer Twiggy had become my workhorse bag. I have taken her to Yankee stadium, the movies, & she has even been to the offices of American Vogue! (Don't ask). The Officer leather is very thick & tough - I didn't apply any creams at all to her. She puddles nicely, and demands nothing from me. I feel confident placing her on the ground, or under my seat - she can take the abuse.

Last night I applied Egyptian Magic to my NBF First (still unworn). The cream made the wrinkles dissapear! I went to bed ready to rename her Chrissy (after Suzanne Somers). This morning she has no wrinkles or cracks, or dryness. But she now looks totally matte & feels sticky.

What should I do? I have LMB Shine Restore, can I apply that over Egyptian Magic?

(#'s 3525, 3529, 3549) You can check out the information for yourself and draw your own conclusions. I don't want to tell you HOW to tell any differences (if any), but if you check out photos of both, from various sources, see if you can tell.

I have done some research on the PS1's, and my friend has an authentic one as well. The very same problems that plague Jacky's seems to plague many of the authentic versions as well, in fact, my friend doesn't pack the bag due to those fears. In any case, I have ordered one from Jacky and will report back when I receive it.

I'm torn between a Galet RH City and Galet first. If I do go ahead with the Galet first, I will also probably add a city strap so that it is longer, short straps are more of a nuisance to me than a convenience for some reason - it's probably because of my build! I've looked at many mod pics of the first, and some of them have longer/shorter straps and they even look like they vary in size! Proportionally, I'm about 5'3 and 100 pounds, so even the RH city looks a bit large when carried on the crook of my arm. Is the First tiny, or a good size? I don't want a "mini" bag, just one that is slightly less overpowering than the city. I don't know if I'm making any sense. xD But how does the first wear?

nalgene: I was able to see your pictures and am floored! Your bag is absolute perfection. It would pass with flying colors among ANY circle and the GGH is spot on!! That beauty is one to be proud of!! Congrats and thank you so much for those stunning pictures!

seahorse: Everyone I've come across on this thread who really knows Bal raves about T&D's bags! The HW, leather, details....they're fantastic bags and the QUALITY!! Woo!! Let me tell you, the quality is incredible! I've had my vert d'eau Work for over a year and have used it heavily. It's only become better with use! I haven't had even one issue with anything falling off/popping off/coming loose. The color has faded a bit as with ANY leather bag (authentic or replica) but everything else is perfect. I love the bag so much that I bought a backup from this new batch so that if anything were to happen to the original, I'm covered! Even buying two from T&D, I still haven't come close to what I would have paid for one authentic. There are multiple members on this thread who own both auth Bal and T&D's Bal and they say the quality is very close... I think most of them only continue to buy auth Bal in colors or styles that T&D don't have/won't do... There are also members who no longer buy auth Bal because T&D's are so darn wonderful. Yes, THAT is how good they are! I've touched, held and tried on authentic Bbags and I am confident in saying that in looks AND quality, T&D's bags are just as good and worth every last penny! And you can quote me on that!


Cherish: The First is a lot smaller than the City but it isn't super tiny... If you find the City overwhelming, then I'd think the First would seem like a medium size bag to you... It doesn't hold a ton, but it definitely can hold a wallet, cell, a few makeup items and keys! ame_sparkle is the Frist queen and will probably be able to answer much better than I can, but I do HTH!

they are very good. and that's all i can say, really! this is the 7th thread and 90% of these threads are about NBF. if they are not THAT good, it wouldnt stay alive
i own both real and NBF, love both.
however, only if u know and will accept wearing a rep, then u will happy with NBF bags.
