Remove the strap
Clip both clips to one D ring
Undo the buckle on the shoulder strap
You now have the strap seperated into two pieces
loop one of the strap pieces through the other d ring
Re do the buckle to unite the two strap pieces

Ta Da!

NBF Vert d'Eau First

The leather is sublime - already puddles, has a nice sheen, reflects light because of the flash.

Also!! My VD GSH CITY IS HERE and OMG PERFECTION!! The leather is soooo soft and buttery and smooth and has the perfect sheen <3 My expectations were high esp after everyone's photos and rave reviews but wow...

I am getting the VD GGH city as well now. I NEED more VD in my life <3

I just got home from cycling and was so excited after reading your tips, I tried the double-loop method instead of showering first (despite being badly in need of one, ha!). It was a VERY tight fit and I had to slightly bend the strap to fit it through the D-ring, but it worked. Thanks once again, yay!

To those who are thinking of getting Jacky's Alexa bags ... I have received a batch of various Alexa bags and I LOVE all of them!

The nude/beige python is soooooo soft and smooshy! I love the colour of the hardware. The bag is really pretty and I'm so sad it's not mine. I think I may get it in my next order. Other TFS members who have the bag were right when they said pics do not do it justice. It is really GORGEOUS in real life. Only fear is, the colour is so light, I think it will dirty/stain easily. But I still want to get it anyway because it's so pretty.

The Oak Alexas (in Regular and OS) have thick leather and I feel the finishing is very good. Previously, I kept going back and forth between Regular and OS ... and I settled for Regular in the end. The Regular Alexa looks very small in real life! I was quite disappointed but I released the 2 snap folds on the sides of the bag and I was able to transfer everything from my NBF City bag into the Regular Alexa! I use a bag organiser and was very happy that it fitted very nicely inside the Regular Alexa. It may look small, but it's quite spacious actually.

Only minus point to the Oak Alexas is ... the leather is quite stiff. Hopefully, with frequent use, the leather will break in nicely so the bag will slouch.

Last but not least, please note Jacky has made changes to his Chanel Jumbo #2886 in Caviar leather. The sides are completely FLAT, but also has much thinner leather. Hence, the sides are not as structured as my previous order. The interlocking Cs are FLAT and FAT now. My Jumbo from a previous order has thin and curved interlocking Cs.

I will post more in detail on Thursday, when I can. Pics to come (with the permission of my friends) with my post.

I was on the Alexa train and then I got off and now, due to this beautiful nude Alexa, I think I want back on. Also, I've been absent as of late due to work and the strain of having finally broken down and ordered a Black Togo GHW Birkin from Joy. I am REALLY hoping that wasn't a mistake. I've got Sorbet RH City on the way as well and an untimely meeting with my HG... in other words - my pockets are ANGRY. (Should I go for the nude Alexa, ladies? Pros? Cons?)

I too hope the boys get the rose gold for Bois de Rose right, cause that bag is a BEAUT with RGHW and I don't think it looks NEARLY as yummy without.

i recommend ANYONE who is not sure about getting VD, you SHOULD and everyone must have one. i just got mine and it's GORGEOUS!!!

the only thing stopping me from snagging an alexa is that getting in and out of it seems like a PITA. same with the ps1, which is why i've refrained. i can't imagine buckling and undoing the buckles every time i am getting in and out of my bag.

that nude alexa leather is dreamy.

^ I first thought that too the alexa actually has a magnet so you don't have to unbuckle the buckles.

seahorseinstripe If you don't like the current T&D colors you can always search 'nbf' on ioffer for used ones from previous batches .

How often does T&D repeat colors? I'd love something like Tempete in GSH. I know they did this color last year, I think?

I think they only repeat colors if it is really demanded. For instance amethyst was one of the more popular colors which is the reason why they did a re-run last year (same with vert d'eau) . T&D hasn't done tempete yet but last year they did blue layette. But, their blue layette wasn't close to the auth it was their own shade of BL (a mix between BL and tempete which people called it blempete ). Their BL looks like a washed out tempete IMO.

For those who've bought the Regular sized Alexa bag from Jacky, is it possible to double loop the long strap or shorten it? Thanks.

I suggest you to get 2 extra holes on the strap . My sister is fairly petite (5'0''-5'2'') and the alexa is so long on her so she got extra holes. The alexa looks very proportionate on her now . Plus, IMO I think it's better then having to worry about the straps stretching .

diormouse I'm not really into RGGH, but man it looks so gorgeous on nacre!

kimair IMO I think I will like the OS since I prefer big bags. But the reg alexa is perfect for everyday needs. It has the perfect amount of space unless you're a pack-rat .

Kimair I purchased the OS alexa and I find it too big for everyday use I would definitely go with the regular size one.... unless you carry a lot of files/folders JMO
