The main problem in the appropriate consistence in our modus vivendi, veryday' s jeu d'esprit is how to fit ,agree our highly designed and almost transcendent toward our presence clothes and on the other side where we dwell...

is there pertinet place, envirement, ambience, scene, bunches around you..

can you describe it and which designer is mostly suitable to this space?

for me it is club named motto in sofia
and also the kings palace old not in use orthodox palace's paraclice toba&co..
it is nice to be there in solitaire ......some decreased extreme Junya look is also pertinent

are you based in Sofia then whimsicalist?

for me, it's just about everywhere and anytime...

The beauty of New York City is that you can wear your look regardless of what it is - anything goes!!!

There is no real fashion scene here that I know of. I don't really fit in with anyone around here, that I've met at least.

Interesting topic, Whimsicalist.:flower:

There are only two girls in my area that have any real fashion sense... one is a junior and the other is a gothy-girly whom I have no classes with.

So, my friends wear:
Abercrombie, Old Navy, L.E.I..... er, Hollister...
While I wear:
Vintage/thrift store everything, with my little tidbits of Chanel, Miu Miu, D&G, Daryl K, etc...

I don't really feel as though I match, but the feeling of superiority does feel kind of nice... because no one really wears makeup and those who do look like they have makeup on (NOT the point..) I know that sounds horrible, but we all have faults.

The places I feel most at home with myself and my style are: Kharisma (vintage boutique in Pittsburgh, PA), any thrift store, and of course: TFS. ;)

places i feel most comfortable in my own skin and wardrobe are downtown nyc...and parts of paris...maybe also antwerp...yes...the netherlands in general...

of course...i haven't been to tokyo yet... ^_^
but i feel drawn to it...i am drawn to other places as well...but for different reasons...

When I go back to London, I feel completely comfortable wearing whatever I want to wear. But at my prep school here in New England, the uniform is pretty disgusting -- A & F etc etc. I get made fun of from time to time, but hey, that's their problem!

I live in a dream world inside my head so for me anything goes, anytime.

Bizarre as it is, living in Kentucky has been where I have really developed my personal style.

Defintely not where I live in California, its the same situation as Alex N.
But Hong Kong, Tokyo etc. are fine.

I dress however I like within reasonable standards of decency so I don't get in trouble with my boss!

People in Kansas City mostly dress very conservatively, while I like bright colors and vintage styles and lots of costume jewelry and detailed accessories. I am sure most people think I look odd, but I am usually happy with the things that I wear.

I am really out of place wearing some of the clothes I wear where I am...the people don't take very kindly to people who dress different from them either.

Hong Kong is somewhat better, but I always get the feeling people are sizing you up if you wear something that stands out over there.

New York and Paris are probably where I feel most comfortable wearing anything.

i live in the english country-side and i tend to wear a lot of vivienne westwood and i have to say that doesnt go down very well lol  i tend to get looks but not in a good way :s

London has a sort of "beat" to it you can wear whatever you like and not get many stares and if you do they're normally good ahhhh i belong in london

I am from Montreal; people here dress pretty freely, very rare are those you'll see with designer wear, but I have seen some, especially downtown. People here are not too conservative, the downtown population basically constists of hipsters and preps. I don't dress to stand out or to stand in, I just dress the way I feel comfortable and great inside out.

i like that!! i also loved to push people to their limits in terms of acceptance of style (i grew up in a small village with as much style as a glass of water.....) and i always tried harder NOT to fit in or look appropriate than actually fitting in....it's an enourmous boost for your self-esteem, and over time you just tend to forget what other people might think or not, you just don't care anymore 'cause it's become part of your life to wear what you like, whenever you like....
[however, i have to admit that this sort of "lifestyle" is more difficult to keep up when you have working commitments, but even then, i found out, you can always add a little bit of your own touch and go for your own style....] :p

i was uptown yesterday...and i was getting noticeable stares at my motorcycle boots...men and women alike...

it's enough to give you a complex if you do it often enough...so, i try to stay downtown...

really softie? why?! those boots rock!

Very cool.:flower:

no one around my area has any style. all they wear is your typical "wannabe" stuff...juicy couture, dooney bags, a&f, hollister. They are victims to trends, while i hate trends. I wear my own style, and for that i get made fun ofbut i really dont care, because i dress this way for myself, not anyone else. and besides, from people who dont even know who marc jacobs is  , i really could care less.

I love everyone's "don't give a f**k" attitude in this thread. Makes for some inspiring reading. And it kinda makes me want throw on the weirdest outfit possible and go screaming through the city. : )

3 years ago a fashwindows assistent Thim hagy describe

can someone from paris,or such who once visited this place confirm this map...

and Lena...
certainly I am living in Sofia

place where men had developed some fashion sense, and bad looking girls (just on finger of one hand ,mostly temproary ,visitors,or in vacance from their emigration are those girls which elaborates their look in terms of fashion)
imagine a place full with Mango worn girls ...some para-wh*re-istic -kitch look..
I often notice this frightened western visitors from this bg girls exposed their anatomy...the paranoic depression that may be you could'n get so much ejaculations for all this babies..
the well income buy energie or miss sixty..
escada and max mara remains very far from our national fash sense dominated by national chararacter and habit of" indespesable exhibition" -everithing is show-ing-able ,everything is purchaising-able is the national slogan..Slo-GANG
