Isabel Lucas

Don't freak out guys, I'm positive this new look is for the latest film she is shooting, there is no other explanation. As someone mentioned it was a cheerleading role she plays. She is definitely a lot more better with her natural brown hair for sure though. I really like the dress, it's very unique it's just tan and hair that is the thumbs down, her beautiful features still shine through, but can't wait to see our old izzy in her casual clothes. Remember she's an actress so her looks are always changing to fit in with roles.:flower: and yay to her for the award. Well done! It's funny that because she was talking to the dude from twilight backstage they are already considered a possible couple. Silly hollywood!

I can't believe there is a thread on her here... I don't get it. I know she is pretty but I watched an interview with her on Rove (Aus tv show) and it was so offputting. It's a big call, but it was probably the most godawful cringeworthy interview I've ever seen on the show. She was so meek and empty.

^well, she has nice style and this is celeb style forum, that´s why she has thread here.

She has alot of fans because she has great unique style and girls can relate to her.
I myself would come off as 'meek and empty' in a t.v interview too.

^ me too .
I watched that interview and then read some comments here and felt confused, her answers were pretty natural to me, a bit shy but also modest and honest... she doesn't quite strike me as the kind of celebrity that walks into these late night shows with trained, politician-style smile and confidence. Not that I detest them (Kirsten Dunst is one of them) but I feel like I can relate more to a girl like Isabel. -_-

Australienne: Loads of celebrities have threads have threads on this site, even the ones without any style. What's your point?

Rove McManus is the worst most cringe-worthy interviewer in the world,he asked her the most inane questions-it is hard not to let that tacky tv show taint you with their brush.

oh geez what happened this girl? Her face has a skull-like structure, the blonde hair aint helping.

^ Yeah, I don't care for the blond hair, either- but when she has it together, she is stunning!! :flower:

this is really surprising, since she had such a natural earthy beauty..
she used to suit both blonde and brown but the latest pics at awards are just awful...

I was giving my opinion in relation to recent questions regarding her acting ability and presence. And expressing my surprise she has such a large thread on here. I don't get the appeal, that's okay right? If everyone agreed there would be no discussion

Okay, i agree on this...that Rove interview was absolutely bizarre. i think it was a combination of nerves, being naturally shy and lack of experience with TV interviews and perhaps particularly hosts like Rove. i've seen her interviewed on a few other programs mostly regarding the work she was doing to stop whaling and none were as awkward as that one. If i was judging her based on that interview alone i agree that i would completely miss her appeal.. but i also think people have made a good point here that this thread is largely based on her personal appearance and style, not her personality or acting skills. :innocent:

also, I think people often forget that actors can be some of the most eccentric, introverted, quirky people.. we usually assume that because they have such a high profile they are sociable and outgoing, but I think Isabel on the whole is a pretty private, shy person. i haven't met her but i have a few friends who know her (i guess australia is a small place after all ?..) and from what i hear she's a nice girl, pretty normal, fairly shy with people she doesn't know..

Anyway, bottom line i think is that this thread is here because she's gorgeous and has great personal style..

To begin our examination of how today's trendsetters are wearing velvet now, let us first consider the lovely Isabel Lucas. For the 500 Days of Summer premiere, the Transformers-star chose Giambattista Valli's Ruched Silk and Velvet Cocktail Dress ($1995, 212.753.7300) in a delicious shade of aubergine. As you can see, the purple palate perfectly shows off the luster of the frock's panne velvet draped top and prim hemline. If you'd like to create an outfit with a similar vibe, simply pair Marc Jacobs' Velvet Pencil Skirt
show
($550) with a silk top to get a flip-flopped Lucas look.
