The beloved 'Bidou' suede boots from Isabel Marant

Ever since I purchased these boots in Paris, we have not been separated unless it rains. My wardrobe color palette is restricted to black, grey, white and navy. Funny because I'd never think of spending a lot of money on a pair of boots in the strangest color called taupe. But I love these shoes and consider them as my wardrobe essentials. The Isabel Marant boots define my style and they're so French. Wearing these boots make my outfits less predictable. Believe it or not - the shoes goes with everything in my closet.

funny you should post this, very timely. glad to hear that they get so much use because i had feeling that would be the case and found a pair of Maje's on NAP for half the price and they look like the same boot. always like the color and shape of this style.

Those ones pictured are the summer season, they're a bit darker and called Bidou. The AW10 lacow just come in the taupe which I agree is quite pale and anthracite. I got the anthracite and love them. Just need it to stop raining every day so I can wear them out!

Dommage! That kind of situation sadly happens a lot with this brand. I suffered the same experience so many times...

Have you tried the multibrands stores like Abou d'Abi Bazaar (the one next to the Panthéon) which carries Etoile? Or Spree?

Did anyone get the Levan boucle tweed jacket? Wondered about the sizing. I'm a UK 8 always get a 0 or 1, mainly 0 bottoms, 1 knits, either shirts and coats. Not sure with this, my head says jacket should be a 1 but because of the boxy style I'm not sure.

I think it will also depend on your height but I think a 0 might do because the Levan runs large. If you check the net-a-porter their model is 5'10" and wears 0.

I really want one of those style jackets like the Levan but somehow that one doesn't really work on me. I bought it and spent hours infront of the mirror trying to decide (tried to post a pic but I didn't know how to scale it down manually so gave up) and in the end took it back today. I don't feel like I really regret it which is a good sign but I do want to get something the same shape, pref Etoile. Mainlines out of my budget and I find it too dressy for my lifestyle (feel a bit silly on the school run!) Anyne got any advice?
