Creative director Blue Farrier looked to artists such as the late Niki de Saint Phalle and Françoise Gilot (also one-time muse to Picasso), for Issa’s latest collection, imagining them vacationing in sunny climates. A playful pink-and-purple wave accented the hem of a black T-shirt — worn with culottes with the same motif stitched at the seam — while an abstract cactus design was printed on a pleated maxiskirt and smocked top. Farrier continued to work with inventive fabrics with a white organza sundress laser cut with a tiny hand pattern, and a peach floral jacket done in a matelassé jacquard.
